Italian Production Designer, Set Decorator and Scenographer
Marco Martucci is an Italian Production Designer and Set Decorator based in Rome.
A graduate in Scenography from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, he began his career working alongside Academy Award-winning Production Designer Gianni Quaranta, developing a multidisciplinary approach to cinematic space, visual research and set decoration.
During his career he has worked on feature films and television productions directed by filmmakers including Marco Bellocchio, Gabriele Mainetti, Daniele Luchetti and Mario Martone.
His experience spans production design, set decoration, historical research, concept development, construction supervision, prop sourcing and the coordination of complex art-department workflows.
In 2026, Marco Martucci and Andrea Castorina received the David di Donatello for Best Production Design for La Città Proibita, directed by Gabriele Mainetti. Castorina was credited for Production Design and Martucci for Set Decoration.
Marco works between contemporary, period and highly stylised productions, with particular attention to atmosphere, authenticity, material culture and narrative detail.

My Story
After graduating in Scenography from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, Marco began his professional journey working alongside renowned Production Designer Gianni Quaranta.
Over the years he progressed through every department role, developing extensive expertise in set design, set decoration, construction supervision, prop integration and visual concept development.
This multidisciplinary experience allows him to manage projects from the earliest creative stages through final on-set execution, balancing artistic vision, production requirements and budget constraints.
Based in Rome and available throughout Italy, Marco regularly collaborates with production companies, directors and creative teams seeking authentic Italian locations, high-end set design and efficient production workflows.
His recent credits include productions directed by Marco Bellocchio, Gabriele Mainetti and Daniele Luchetti, as well as award-winning projects recognized by the Italian film industry.
